Kelsey Group, Inc. (KG), headquartered in Northport, AL., is a consortium of consultants and trainers who are topic experts with extensive consulting backgrounds and experience. We recognized a need for consulting that moved away from off-the-shelf programs and national franchises and instead, combined new and specifically adapted insights with traditional approaches to produce results.
We focus on developing organizational members recognizing that individuals, groups and teams can be facilitated toward increased productivity, enhanced working relationships, and a better climate. In addition, we have a widely varied background on full scale interventions utilizing assessments, program design, facilitation of training and coaching sessions, and continued improvement. KG has worked throughout the U.S. and several foreign countries.
Training is highly interactive, dynamic, and customized to each client´s needs. Consulting activities range from evaluating training programs to change interventions to facilitating the implementation of important changes. KG has designed hundreds of programs.

THOMAS (Tom) E. HARRIS, Ph.D. is a Professor Emertus in Communication Studies at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Prior to coming to the University of Alabama, he taught at the University of Evansville, Rutgers University-New Brunswick, and the George Washington University.
He has worked as an organizational consultant for over 30 years with organizations ranging in size from Bristol/Myers Squibb, IBM, Regions Bank, Mercedes-Benz (MBUSI), and Georgia-Pacific to small businesses. In addition, he has assisted major regional medical care facilities, manufacturing firms, and volunteer organizations. He has spearheaded major change efforts in over 60 organizations using a variety of leadership, negotiation, team development, sales, collaboration, communication, productivity improvement, customer service, and change techniques. He was chosen the outstanding faculty presenter for the College of Continuing Studies Professional Development Programs, University of Alabama, for his work in developing and presenting management and leadership development programs. He received a similar honor at the University of Evansville for undergraduate and graduate teaching.
He facilitates strategic planning and team building retreats for numerous nonprofit and for profit organizations. He has designed and facilitated over 500 training and development courses specifically tailored to individual organizational needs. In addition, he has been the primary human resource consultant for numerous change and development efforts in a variety of organizations.
He has written 14 books. The most recent are Applied Organizational Communication: Theory and Practice in a Global Environment (2008) and Small Group and Team Communication, 5thed. (2010). He has written over 50 articles and numerous book chapters on various team, leadership, communication and organizational issues. He is a regular presenter at regional, national and international meetings and writes an occasional newspaper column on key organizational issues.
He received his Ph.D. from Temple University, his MA from the University of Maryland and his BA from the George Washington University.
He is listed in the Directory of American Scholars and Who's Who in Social Sciences Higher Education..
